🚢🔬 Adkins MS CTE students got hands-on exposure to maritime careers today at the Maritime Science Expo.⚓️

This past Saturday, 30 of our Adkins band students competed at the TMEA Middle School Region Band contest! We are incredibly proud to share that 15 of our students earned placement in a Region Band, with one student earning first chair in their section! ⭐ This marks more Region Band selections than last year and the highest number of students selected from CCISD. Our students represented our campus with excellence, and their hard work and dedication truly shined! All are invited to attend their Region Band performance this Saturday at 4:30 PM at the Veterans Memorial High School Auditorium.

We are proud to announce that Adkins MS has received TWO CCEF grants! 🔬 Congratulations to our Science Department who was awarded a grant for “Science in Action: Hands-On Learning for Every Student”. This grant will help bring interactive, engaging science experiences to all of our students. 🧩Congratulations also to our Counseling Department who was awarded a grant for “Building Bridges: LEGO Therapy for Social and Academic Success”. This grant will support innovative, relationship-building activities that help students grow socially and academically. 🇺🇸 Veterans Day Ceremony – A Heartfelt Thank You 🇺🇸 Today, we gathered as a school community to honor and remember the brave men and women who have served our country. Our Veterans Day ceremony was a beautiful tribute, filled with gratitude and pride. A huge thank-you to Adkins Theatre Arts teacher, Aileen Corpos, and her talented students for their moving performances that brought heartfelt emotion to the program. We also extend our appreciation to the Adkins Orchestra and Adkins Band for their inspiring music that set the perfect tone for this important day. To all our veterans—thank you for your courage, sacrifice, and service. We are forever grateful. ❤️🤍💙
