The testing window for the Beginning of Year Universal Screener (BOY) begins September 8 and will conclude September 26. The purpose of a Beginning of Year Universal Screener is to help teachers gather baseline data on course-specific skills to monitor student progress throughout the school year. Please be advised of the following schedule. We ask that students come to school well rested and on time during their scheduled test(s) to ensure the best testing outcome for your child. Seniors who are normally excused for any class periods must follow this schedule on these dates for attendance and testing purposes. The Corpus Christi ISD Board of Trustees adopted new discipline procedures tied to a policy regulating student use of personal electronic devices, in compliance with Texas House Bill 1481. Under the policy, students must turn off and store their personal communication devices in their backpacks or submit them to the front office upon entering school. Devices must remain off and stored until the end of the school day.

Clear backpacks are required for all CCISD student's Pre-K-12th grade. The safety of our students and staff is our top priority, and the district has taken several steps to ensure schools are safe learning environments. Students will be able to carry in their backpacks a pouch, small clutch bag, or purse no larger than 5.5 inches x 8.5 inches to hold personal items, such as cell phones, money and hygiene products.
